The Water of Koringkoneno

Title in Kulisusu: E'e i Koringkoneno

Told by: La Bura

Date: February 2003

Long ago there used to be a source of water. That water was sweet. That sweet water was named the water at Koringkoneno.

Now the custom of the governing officials here was that if anything out of the ordinary was encountered by the people, they were to inform the officials.

One day the people fetched a bottle of that sweet water. On the way home, an empty woman met them. She asked to have a drink. When she had finished drinking, that water dried up. It meant that water was now the property of the empty woman.

Today if anyone finds that water again, it will be very valuable to them.

The end.
